We were expecting snow, so we left Crested Butte and rode a park near Gunnison, Colorado. Hartman Rocks was fun and challenging in all the right ways!
While touring on my 2020 road trip, I stopped in Crested Butte, Colorado and rode Monarch Crest and Agate Creek.
My latest stop on the 2020 road trip was with Chasing Epic tours in Crested Butte, Colorado. We rode the 403 and the 401 trails – together they make up “The 804”.
I was headed to Bentonville, Arkansas when a storm re-routed me to Salida, Colorado. I adjusted the schedule and made the drive.
To start out my Durango mountain bike excursion, I chose to re-ride the only trail I was already familiar with; Twin Buttes.
In September of 2018, I took a 3-week road trip around the western states with my camera and my mountain bike. While on that trip, I randomly drove through the Rocky Mountains and, like many before me, fell in love with Colorado. On the advice of a friend, and while looking for a place to ride for the day, I stopped in Winter Park to ride my first ever bike park.

While on my 2018 road trip through the western states, I stopped in Durango, Colorado. I had never been there but I knew of it from my younger days of hero worship of Ned Overend. Ned was a prominent pro rider in the 80’s and chose to make Durango his home.
